I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism several months ago. I take levothyroxine for it. A couple months ago my throat started feeling constantly swollen, sometimes burning. I know the burning could be from GERD, I take medicine for that too. However my doctor wants to get an ultrasound of my thyroid gland cause he thinks its enlarged for some reason (infection, other reasons?). I was on antibiotics to see if it was an infection. Its still feeling swollen alot and it freaks me out, cause I worry that I'm going to suffocate or something. Does anybody else have hypothyroidism or goiter and what are you experiences?
